Does the agency have to confirm my booking?

It depends on the offer. For manual-validation offers, the agency reviews your request and replies; the booking is only firm once it confirms. For other offers confirmation is faster, but the agency remains responsible for handing over the vehicle and may contact you to finalise details.

As a rule, the rental is paid to the agency under its terms: sometimes an advance at booking, often the balance at pickup.
